Credit unions had to make enormous changes at the onset of COVID just to stay in business. And with all those changes, most credit unions continued to fall behind in the market. Generations Y and Z, who should love our ‘co-ops’, tend to be ignoring credit unions to a great degree. Key surveys are showing that our image and brand are considered “old fashioned” and “stodgy” to those key generations.
