NCOFCU Chairman David Lantrip retired after 40 years of service as Captain/Paramedic with the Houston Fire Department. In his last 27 years, he was assigned as EMS Supervisor. He presently serves as a director on the board of the Houston Fire Fighters Federal Credit Union and has held positions on the R&D, Nominating, Scholarship, & Supervisory selection committees. While serving as a director, he completed every CU/VAP course and has received 15 Certificates and Awards from CUNA and the Texas Credit Union League. David attended the University Of Houston, taking classes in Spanish, Psychology and Texas A&M University for Fire Department Safety Officer Certification, Houston Community College for EMT & Paramedic Certifications. He is a lifetime member of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, Chairman of the Safety Committee for 25 years, and three years as chairman. He won the “FIRST RESPONDER OF THE YEAR” Award for the State of Texas from the Texas Department of Health. He is very involved with his Church, having served several years on the Pastoral Advisory Board. He presently sits on the NCOFCU Board of Directors.
